Mission: Proclaiming the Gospel of God

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
(Rm.1:16)

Apostolic Letter Patris Corde: Our lives can be miraculously reborn if we find the courage to live them in accordance with the Gospel.

St. Wilfrid is a Bishop and believer who is obedient and loyal to God, despite of many obstacles. He faithfully fought for his faith. His life was presented to God for proclaiming the Gospel. Like Paul preached Christ, his life was only dedicated for proclaiming the Gospel of Christ. This is a firm conviction that Good News of Gospel is the path, truth and salvation. This should become our strength. Gospel is the Lord Jesus Himself, the Word has become flesh.

In today’s Gospel we read how Jesus denounced Scribes and Pharisees. Jesus knew their heart, the outside looked righteous, but inside they were full of hypocrisy, they sought for fame and liked pretending. Jesus doesn’t like this manner. Jesus teaches truth, dare to protect the weaks, forgive the sinners and do miracles for the salvation of His people. Jesus’ coming is the sign of God’s true love in life. We have to proclaim this Love and Glad Tidings of Gospel.

So, have we lived as what Jesus teaches us? Have we seriously taken part in proclaiming the Glad Tidings of Gospel in our lives? Apostolic Letter Patris Corde says: Our lives can be miraculously reborn if we find the courage to live them in accordance with the Gospel. We are invited to take part in proclaiming the Gospel through our testimony in daily living.

What can we do? Look at our surrounding. We may find the people who need our help, care, greeting, strengthening and comfort. We can do all this as our loving proclamation to others. We have taken part in proclaiming God’s Gospel by loving and caring others

Before we could proclaim God’s Gospel, we should first keep good relationship with God by reading and contemplating His words, as His words are our basis of our lives. The words are like the light to every step of our lives. The words will guide our work.

Mission: We are invited to seek and find new miraculous strength in God through His words. (YH)

DAILY DEDICATED PRAYER

Lord, our Father, I present my today prayer, thought, word, work, joy and sorrow in the unity with Your Son, Jesus Christ, who always presents Himself in the Eucharist for the world salvation. May the Holy Spirit, as the soul of Jesus, also lead and give me the strength today so that I am ready to be the witness of Your love.

Together with St. Mary, Mother of Jesus and the Church, I specially present my prayer to our Pope and Indonesian Church prayer apostles of this month:

For Evangelization intention:
Apostles of Missionary: We pray for all the baptised to be involved in proclaiming the Gospel, presenting themselves to carry out the mission and be ready to become the witnesses animating the spirit of Gospel. We pray…

For Indonesian Churches intention:
Clean water: May we be more wise in using the clean water. We pray…

Special Intention for the year of St. Joseph:
Give us an open heart, like St. Joseph, so we may love Mother Mary and her Son for the success of “missio” or mission of restoring human love in responding Father’s mercy. We pray…

Amen

MISSIONARY ROSARY PRAYER

SORROWFUL MYSTERIES

  1. The Agony of Jesus in the Garden
“O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” (Matt. 26:39)

Prayer is intended for the continent of Asia (yellow bead)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray for our people living in the continent of Asia, who have experienced many problems during this pandemic. Many fall into sadness, despair and are unable to face the loss of job, property or the beloved one. Just as Jesus was willing to surrender and pray to You near His death, grant us the grace of faith and self surrender to everyone in our continent. Enable us to realize that in the time of trials like this, we have to remember to surrender to You and persevere in prayer, so that our hope and faith can remain firm and alerted.
We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amin.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The Scourging of Jesus at the pillar
“They smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him. And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from Him, and put his own clothes on him.” (Mark 15:19-20a)

Prayer is intended for the continent of Australia and Oceania (blue beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray for your people in the continent of Oceania-Australia. May You give strength and comfort to those who are persecuted for their faith in You. Despite of being scourged, mocked, spat on, beaten, even stripped naked, He just kept silent, no repaying the evil with evil, because of the great love in Him. May this example be able to be copied by every one who experiences suffering and injustice from their fellow people. And may You grant every human being with the heart of mercy, so they can treat each other with love, respect and justice. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The Crowning with Thorns
“They platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head. And began to salute him, Hail King of the Jews!” (Mark 15:17-18)

Prayer is intended for the Continent of Europe (white beads)
Father, with Mary, Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray for your people in the continent of Europe. Sometimes sufferings and traumatic experiences become an obstacle to human’s faith to keep on believing that You are always with them and their lives. Jesus, Your Son, is not missed from the suffering caused by humans, despite he possesses the status of the Son of the King. Learning from Him, may all the people in the continent of Europe are enabled to survive from the suffering and traumatic events that they have to pass while remaining firm in their faith, believing that You will never abandon your People. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The Carrying of the Cross
“And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha.” (John 19:16b)

Prayer is intended for the continent of America (red beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray for your people in the continent of America. May they be enabled to faithfully carry the cross of life in the world. Cross is sometimes rejected and avoided. We, the humans, tend to find the happiness, prosperity and eternity, instead of suffering, adversity and death. Jesus Himself carried His cross in faith and obedience for He believed and accepted all Your will. May the people of America who believe in Christ be ready to face the cross, suffering and death, accepting the cross as inseparable part of the identity as a Christian. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The Crucifixion and death of Jesus
“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father into thy hands I comment my spririt; and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.” (Luke 23:46)

Prayer is intended for the continent of Africa (green beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray for your people in the continent of Africa. Lately many deaths happened caused by Covid-19 pandemic. Death is often seen not only as a loss but also a bad incident. Humans are attached too tightly to their lives and the possessions, that they become stuttered when it’s time for letting go and returning all the possessions to You, the Owner of Life. May You enable Your people in the continent of Africa especially those who suffer from the loss of their closed ones, to accept the death and remember that eternal life You promises is not from the world, but in heaven in our next life. We believe that life is not destroyed by death, but it is transformed. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!
