Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
Exo. 34:4b-6,8-9; MT Dan. 3:52,53,54,55,56; 2Cor. 13:11-13; John 3:16-18
Today the Church invites us to ponder with gratitude the mystery of the Holy Trinity God, the basic Catholic we are living. My father is a parish catechist. When I was a boy, I often heard him teach the catechumens (those preparing to be Catholic). One part that I always remember is when my father was trying to explain the mystery of the Holy Trinity. He used the story of St. Augustine.
St. Augustine, who was trying to meditate on the mystery of the Holy Trinity God, was walking by the seaside and he saw a boy dig a hole in the sand and tried to fill it with water from the sea. St. Augustine asked the boy, “My child, what are you doing?” “Oh, I am scooping all water from the sea and pouring it into this hole”, answered the boy. Augustine laughed and answered, “How could it be possible, my child? The hole is too small to hold the large water from the sea.” The boy stopped and looked at Augustine as he answered, “Isn’t it the same happen to you? How could you penetrate the divine mystery with human’s limited understanding?” When Augustine looked back, the boy disappeared. St. Augustine then wrote, “You will be able to see the Holy Trinity God if you see with love.”
In today’s reading St. Paul said, “Agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you!” In today’s Gospel, we also hear, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.” The God we believe is the God of love and we are always invited to realize and ponder this. The entire Scripture would like to explain that God’s love is endless and unconditional. Love does not think of himself. Love is always relational. God the Father loves God the Son in connection with God the Holy Spirit.
Dear brothers and sisters, in love God is present in His most concrete form regardless of whether we realize it or not. Each of us has the experience of loving and being loved. Our ability to love each other reminds us back to the story of human creation when God created us in His image. And now when we love our fellowship and environment, we believe that God is truly present in our lives. Let us humbly be thankful for the mystery of Divine Love that has been presented to us from the beginning. God bless.

DAILY DEDICATED PRAYER
Lord, our Father, I present my today prayer, thought, word, work, joy, and sorrow in unity with Your Son, Jesus Christ, who always presents Himself in the Eucharist for the salvation of the world. May the Holy Spirit animating Jesus, also be my guidance and strength today so that I am ready to be the witness of Your love.
Together with St. Mary, Mother of Jesus, and the Church, in particular, I present my prayer for our Pope and apostle prayer of the Indonesian Church of this month:
For church movements and groups
We pray that Church movements and groups may rediscover their mission of evangelization each day, placing their own charisms at the service of needs in the world.
For the wisdom of Mary
We pray that the mothers and women be willing to imitate Mother Mary, to be patient, wise, willing to sacrifice, and believe that the Lord will make the impossible possible for the life of their children and society.
Amen
