Mission: To Give Ourselves to God

He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send our workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.”
( Luk. 10:2-3)

Apostolic Letter Patris Corde: Every true vocation is born of the gift of oneself, which is the fruit of mature sacrifice.

Only those knowing the Lord can understand that theirselves and life belong to God. With this basic understanding and believe, humans may know how to live. The focus of life is not to fulfill oneself’s desire and will anymore, but instead to answer the nature calling of oneself in presenting his whole life to the Lord.

Life is like a field and we are the workers. The field does not belong to us, but the Lord. Yet, not every human works in that field. Only those called, appointed and sent will work there.

The word of mission comes from mittere (latin) meaning “to be commanded”. A missionary is the chosen and asked to go working in His appointed field. It is not on our own initiative, nor forced by anybody. Nevertheless there are some people think when the Lord has chosen us, we must go and work there, no matter we like it or not. But in fact the Lord never forces us to work in His field.

It’s true that mission comes from the Lord’s calling. He chooses, not the human. But afterwards it is the human’s response to accept or reject. There is always “free will”, a freedom to choose. If the human fully realizes and owns basic faith that his life belongs to the Lord, he will definitely accept the offer, without fear and doubt, and will be very joyful!

Some of us may ever fall in love and feel loved. Heart full of love and feeling of being loved will not only give us joy but we will give in ourselves and life to the loved one. It happens the same when we realize and feel how the Lord loves us. We will definitely give ourselves to the Lord.

Love can change someone. Love gives strength, hope and new life. Love transforms us into a gentle, humble, generous and serving self. Only if we own half of Lord’s unlimited love, we will be able to present ourselves and our lives to Him.

The Lord needs a lot of workers in His field as the harvest is plentiful. We are the chosen workers and it is our job to harvest the souls that need salvation, then there will no one abandoned at the end.

Mission: Life is the most beautiful gift from the Lord. Life will be more beautiful if we are able to present it back to God. (BIL)

DAILY DEDICATED PRAYER

Lord, our Father, I present my today prayer, thought, word, work, joy and sorrow in the unity with Your Son, Jesus Christ, who always presents Himself in the Eucharist for the world salvation. May the Holy Spirit, as the soul of Jesus, also lead and give me the strength today so that I am ready to be the witness of Your love.

Special Intention for the year of St. Joseph:
Give us an open heart, like St. Joseph, so we may love Mother Mary and her Son for the success of “missio” or mission of restoring human love in responding Father’s mercy. We pray…

MISSIONARY ROSARY PRAYER

JOYFUL MYSTERIES

  1. The Annunciation of the Angel to Mary
“Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.” (Luke 1:28b,30b-31)

Prayer is intended for the continent of Asia (yellow beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we come before You, asking for Your grace on our lives, our future, especially for our continent we are living in, the Continent of Asia. Send Your angels as You sent the Angel Gabriel to proclaim the good news of the birth of Your Son to Mother Mary. Enable us to be always grateful for the life You have granted and to rejoice in carrying out the mission that You give to each of us, so that we can be the witnesses of Your joyful tidings, like the Angel Gabriel. May Your joy fill the earth. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The visitation of Mary to Saint Elizabeth
“Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” (Luke 1:42-43)

Prayer is intended for the Continent of Australia and Oceania (blue beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray especially for the Australia Continent and Oceania. When Mary visited Elizabeth, she came with love and good news about the coming of the Savior. The meeting eventually became the blessing for both babies in their wombs, and also for the coming mother. We also hope that You would come to visit your people in the Oceania-Australia Continent. Fill the heart of Your people in this continent with hope, so they can give strength and share the good news to each other, especially during the pandemic. And may Your people in this continent be able to take care of each other, as You have always been protecting us. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The nativity of Jesus in Bethlehem
“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7)

Prayer is intended for the Continent of Europe (white beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we want to present the Continent of Europe. Just like Mary and Joseph could not find a room in the inn, many of our brothers and sisters are currently stranded in adversities and helplessness. Cover this continent which has been experiencing a lot of loss and temptation with your blanket of love that are able to warm every soul. Prepare a safe shelter for all the needs. Shower your grace of joy in everyone’s heart so that every mouth can praise Your name as the God, the source of life and eternal joy. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The presentation of Jesus to the Temple
Simeon said unto Mary, “Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against. Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul.” (Luke 2:34-35)

Prayer is intended for the continent of America (red beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray especially for the continent of America. We present this continent before You as the Baby Jesus was presented to You in the Temple. May the continent of America and the people living in there be renewed with Your Spirit. Grow the sense of solidarity, mercy, brotherhood and unity among them. Keep them away from arrogance, selfishness and the desire to dominate others. Enable this continent to build the pillars of prosperity for all creations and bring peace to the world, so that cheers of joy may echo throughout the world. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!

  1. The finding of Jesus in the Temple
“How is that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? And they understood not the saying which he spoke unto them.” (Luke 2:49-50)

Prayer is intended for the continent of Africa (green beads)
Father, with Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all nations, we pray especially for our brothers and sisters in the continent of Africa. May every longing soul will find You in their seeking of You. For those who are lost and far from You due to suffering and adversities, may they be able to find the way back to you. Guide and bless every step so they may have strength, light of hope and joy of life. Teach every person to always lean on Your will and plan. Make them all Your living witnesses so Your name may be glorified and more souls could be saved. We ask this through the intercession of Lord Christ and our Savior. Amen.

Mary Mother of Evangelization, Mother of all Nations, pray and protect us, your children!
